Granotone brings you a water-based acrylic varnish. This water-based varnish dries quickly, eradicates any chance of smudging, and permanently films when dry.

Deepened Colours

Once you have finished your acrylic masterpiece, there is no doubt that it looks pleasant. Although once the art is dried, the colours may appear to fade. When you apply the varnish, it will enhance your colours more than just using paint alone.

An Even Finish

Acrylic paint changes in sheen depending on how much water is added to the paint resulting in a finished painting with areas of different sheens. However, once you finish your artwork using a Varnish, it will give your canvas a balanced shine and finish.

Lay the painting flat at an undisturbed placeDip the brush into the Granotone varnish about 1/3 to 1/4-way down and gently tap off the excessHolding the brush at an angle, apply the Granotone varnish in even strokes across the paintingStart at one corner and work your way across the whole landscape in a parallel fashion

When you are done, look at the surface of the painting from an angle. If any parts are not shiny and wet, gently go over them with a bit of varnish.

Let it dry for a few hours. You may also apply a second coat to get an added shine or matte finish.
