Color Atelier Lime Paint- Authentic slaked limewash paint that gives a soft texture and matte finish in a beautiful range of colors. Manufactured in USA with highest quality natural ingredients, contains zero VOC, and non toxic formula. It creates subtle movements and natural color variations. Its unique formulation allows for both interior and exterior use. If applied over Color Atelier Base Coat plaster or an existing smooth plaster wall, it can be polished to a shine much like a plaster finish. A 100% dilutable product, depending on the desired finish it can be applied as a full strength, or a wash. An organic, durable, versatile finish makes it ideal for decoration of new and historical buildings. Lime Paint is a truly wonderful traditional material that ages beautifully, and will continue to patina years after. It can be applied to drywall, plaster, masonry, brick, stone and previously painted surfaces. Apply it with a lime paint brush in random, multi-directional patterns. 1 Gallon Lime Paint covers approximately 400 sq ft in 1 coat, depending on the surface and application, is usually applied in 2 coats. As necessary, prime the drywalls and previously painted walls with Color Atelier Matte Primer prior to the Lime Paint application. In high traffic or high moisture areas, we recommend finishing Lime Paint with Color Atelier Sealers. The sealer will give protection and is easily cleanable. Color Atelier Lime Paint is an authentic slaked limewash, brush-applied coating for Interior/ Exterior. It dries to a matte, velvety finish with soft tonal variations and natural color variations.
Ready mixed, pre-tinted, and easy to apply. It can be applied to bricks, stones, concrete, plaster, masonry, drywall and previously painted surfaces. Can be used as a wash to lime woodgrain.
Gives the soft patina of a traditional Mediterranean lime paint. A breathable, durable, versatile finish makes it ideal for decoration of new and historical buildings. Dilutable product, depending on the desired finish it can be applied full strength, or as a glaze.
Whites and lighter colors have a more subtle movement quality in the finish application, whereas darker colors have more textured appearance to them. In order for increasing the movements with light colors, layering two shades in the application is a helpful method; usually a darker color goes on the first coat and the lighter color goes on top as the second coat.
